Broadford Ashford Walking Trails
As part of Broadford Hallowe’en Festival we are holding 3 walks on Sunday November 1st. We have a great line up of walks from a gentle spooky walk for families to a more challenging walk on the Ashford to Broadford trail.
The A Walk will be the Ashford to Broadford Trail taking in the Gortnaclohy Loop and Lough Ghé (24km). Registration will be in Ashford at 10.30 am with the walk beginning at 11.00 am. This walk is recommended for experienced walkers over 16 years of age. Transport will be available from Broadford at 10.15 am and after the walk if required. Entry Fee €15
The B Walk will be the Gleann Beag Trail (9.5km). This walk is almost completely offroad and has superb views throughout. Registration will be in Broadford Daycare Centre at 1.00 pm and the walk will begin at 1.30pm. Entry Fee €10
The C Walk will be on “The Haunted Trail” where witches, ghosts and vampires reside. This is a Hallowe’en costume walk suitable for children of all ages. The children will meet the characters, hear ghost stories and collect clues to earn some treats. Registration at Broadford Handball alley at 2.00pm and the walk will begin at 2.30pm. Entry Fee Children €2 and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Refreshments will be available in the Daycare Centre after the walks. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the trails.
