Private, peaceful, traditional farmhouse We (2 + 2) spent a week in Glenview Lodge, an alluring traditional farmhouse, in October 2021. The house is comfortable, well equipped and had everything that we needed for an enjoyable stay. The grounds are large, beautiful and indeed peaceful with the 'fairy trail' being a particular favourite of the children. We will certainly stay again.

Simply serene This was our second stay at the Glenview Lodge - our first was in 2012. This is a charming self-catering cottage surrounded by farm land. It is perfectly peaceful with some of the most stunning views of the rolling hills of Limerick that I've ever seen. Sean and Monica are excellent hosts - they provided us with a few staples (bread, butter, coffee, tea, and milk) to tide us over until we could get to the shop and was a welcome sight to weary travelers when checking in. If you are looking for a place that is conveniently located to Cork, Kerry, Clare, and Galway (all day trips from here) and want some peace & quiet as well, this is the spot for you!

Beautiful haven on a hillside We were attending a family wedding in nearby Springfield Castle, and were in search of nearby accommodation. Sean & Monica were able to accommodate our small group for the few days, and it was a great find. The house is located on a beautiful patch of land, up on a hillside with rolling hill views. The house was really comfortable with everything you could need, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Sean was a great help in trying to sort out local taxi companies, and when it wasn't possible he even offered to collect us himself. We didn't get to do much exploring as our time was taken up with family and spending time together at the castle but I would highly recommend the house and the hosts.

The owners Sean and Monica are very friendly and helpful, always willing to provide information when approached. The Broadford area is an excellent base for a visit to Limerick County, which is blessed with stunning scenery and offers warm hospitality wherever you go.

Quarantine escape to the countryside. We absolutely loved our stay at Glenview lodge! This was our first trip back to see our family in a year and a half, due to Covid, and we needed a place to quarantine for a week and act as a base for a second week while we visited family. Seán and Monica have created a cosy, family friendly getaway nestled in the Limerick countryside. Our week of quarantine was spent having walks through the fields and woods, visiting neighbouring cattle and horses (who were over the fence), playing table tennis, badminton, card games, and watching the hay baling and wrapping. My children had such a wonderful time. The swings and slide out in the back garden got so much use! We were very happy with the house itself and if there was anything we needed, Seán and Monica were ready to help us. We would highly recommended Glenview Lodge.

Beautiful, restful nineteenth-century farmhouse This was the most beautiful place. It had all that famous "Irish charm" we were hoping for, incredibly cozy. We loved it so much we spent one day of our ten-day vacation just hanging around the lodge and exploring the property. The space out back gives a perfect view of the mist rolling over the hills in the morning - indescribably lovely. Sean and Monica were so wonderful, baking homemade soda bread, leaving gifts of chocolate and Irish breakfast tea for us to find upon arrival, and happy to answer any questions we had about things to do or places to see. It was a great location for a restful stay with awesome proximity to the Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle, Blarney Castle, Galway, Limerick, and Waterford, just to mention a few. There's also a beautiful graveyard just up the road dating back to the thirteenth century. Highly recommend, would love to come back!

Peaceful with a sprinkling of Magic! We chose Sean and Monica’s property in order to escape from our daily routines and grind and to explore nature. We got more than we bargained for!Surrounding the cottage are centuries old trees and farms. Birds and game prance, flap and hop as if no one’s watching. Ireland’s history is at your disposal as you explore the immediate surrounding area. But watch out! As you navigate the fairy trail on the property (if the fairies WANT you to find it!), you may be surprised as you walk by a tree on the trail when suddenly one or two pop into and out of existence, sparkling and sprinkling their magical fairy dust around you. Don’t be afraid! The magical fairy dust only intensifies your awareness of some of the most lovely nature that surrounds you! We will be coming back. I’ll post some drone photos so people reading this can see the extent and hard work out into this lovely property. There’s more to it than meets the mind 😉

Nice, quiet location surrounded by glorious countryside Even in winter, Glenview Lodge is picturesque and peaceful, and an ideal location for visiting nearby attractions such as Limerick, Cork and Co. Kerry. The owners are extremely hospitable and helpful, and live nearby if any advise is needed. It can be a bit cold at this time of year (December) ,but once the log fire has been started in the living room it soon becomes warm and cosy. For us, this was a truly special Christmas and we hope we can return in the near future. Thoroughly recommended, especially in spring and summer and, of course, at Christmas time,
