Beautiful, restful nineteenth-century farmhouse This was the most beautiful place. It had all that famous "Irish charm" we were hoping for, incredibly cozy. We loved it so much we spent one day of our ten-day vacation just hanging around the lodge and exploring the property. The space out back gives a perfect view of the mist rolling over the hills in the morning - indescribably lovely. Sean and Monica were so wonderful, baking homemade soda bread, leaving gifts of chocolate and Irish breakfast tea for us to find upon arrival, and happy to answer any questions we had about things to do or places to see. It was a great location for a restful stay with awesome proximity to the Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle, Blarney Castle, Galway, Limerick, and Waterford, just to mention a few. There's also a beautiful graveyard just up the road dating back to the thirteenth century. Highly recommend, would love to come back!

Peaceful with a sprinkling of Magic! We chose Sean and Monica’s property in order to escape from our daily routines and grind and to explore nature. We got more than we bargained for! Surrounding the cottage are centuries old trees and farms. Birds and game prance, flap and hop as if no one’s watching. Ireland’s history is at your disposal as you explore the immediate surrounding area. But watch out! As you navigate the fairy trail on the property (if the fairies WANT you to find it!), you may be surprised as you walk by a tree on the trail when suddenly one or two pop into and out of existence, sparkling and sprinkling their magical fairy dust around you. Don’t be afraid! The magical fairy dust only intensifies your awareness of some of the most lovely nature that surrounds you! We will be coming back. I’ll post some drone photos so people reading this can see the extent and hard work out into this lovely property. There’s more to it than meets the mind 😉

Nice, quiet location surrounded by glorious countryside Even in winter, Glenview Lodge is picturesque and peaceful, and an ideal location for visiting nearby attractions such as Limerick, Cork and Co. Kerry. The owners are extremely hospitable and helpful, and live nearby if any advise is needed. It can be a bit cold at this time of year (December) ,but once the log fire has been started in the living room it soon becomes warm and cosy. For us, this was a truly special Christmas and we hope we can return in the near future. Thoroughly recommended, especially in spring and summer and, of course, at Christmas time,

Fantastic historic farmhouse, great location, fabulous hosts! Our family of five spent a wonderful four nights at Glenview Lodge. It was our first visit to Ireland, and Seán and Monica made it memorable and superb. The property dates back all the way to the 1680’s but the farmhouse (built in 1865, I believe) is modernized and comfortable inside. It was perfect for our family: a double bedroom for my husband and me, two twin beds in a second bedroom for our adult sons, and a single twin bedroom for our teenaged daughter. Plus, the two and a half baths and full kitchen – and the ping pong table and guitar – were fantastic amenities that we enjoyed as well. The location is superb. We took day trips to Cork, Limerick, and the Cliffs of Moher. Seán and Monica have not only decorated the farmhouse warmly, but they provide TONS of information about Irish history and local trips available to take. They were very welcoming and made themselves available to answer our questions. The best part of our trip was spending an evening with Monica and Seán as we opted for the “Irish Experience” package. I highly recommend any time that you can enjoy their company and stories, as they are lovely people who know the history and the surrounding area so well! Monica actually grew up at the Glenview Lodge as her childhood home... That evening will be a happy memory for our family for many, many years to come. They are a beautiful couple who compliment one another so well: Seán is the history and details person (he also makes an amazing Irish Coffee!) and Monica is also warm and friendly, and a superb cook. I don’t think I will ever find an Irish Stew in the States that comes close to hers. We’ve been spoiled forever… 🙂 We highly recommend Glenview Lodge and truly hope that our family can return there one day. Monica and Seán – we wish you all the best and thank you for your hospitality, and sharing your lovely home with “strangers” who leave as friends.

Wow My Wife and I loved this place so much, it made our trip complete. From the pastoral hillside views to the Irish charm of the hosts, all the way to a thoughtful touch of walking sticks at the door, Monica and Sèan had their finger on our pulse of Ireland big time. We adored the authenticity of the cottage, a lot of history has taken place here. Bread, butter and milk were waiting for us. The washer and dryer helped keep our luggage load light. We had a nice fire in the stove the last evening and I loved the brisk walk on the countryside in the early morning. We were in town for a wedding at Springfield Castle and we were oh so glad we were able to find this private little hideaway. Glenview Lodge is the perfect Irish getaway for two! Relaxing and welcoming This was a perfect relaxing country holiday stay. We are a family of 6 and there was plenty of space for all of us to stay. The area is very private and the kids loved running around in the meadow. The house is not luxurious but has everything you need and is clean and tidy.

A charming and gorgeous cottage! What views! What scenery and what a marvellous cottage! I stayed at the Glenview Lodge the night before my wedding, and I couldn't have picked a more picturesque place to stay! It was perfect for absolutely everything. The house has so much history as it dates back so many years, and inside it is not only neat and clean but it has so much character. The bedrooms are huge, the kitchen is so quaint and the living room is so relaxing. Outside there are wild bunnies in the garden and the rolling hill views are absolutely breathtaking. Sean and Monica couldn't have been more friendly or accomodating. My stay definitely added to my wedding day experience, and I'm so pleased we picked to stay there 😍 x
